With cold and flu season upon us, this is a great elixir to have in the house. This lemon ginger honey mixture can be taken when you feel a cold coming on, when you have a sore throat, or everyday to help boost your immune system!
Once made, keep it in your fridge. It will last approximately 2-3 months ~ that is if you don’t consume it all before then ‘cuz it’s delicious!
What you’ll need:
- organic lemons
- organic ginger
- unpasteurized honey (when honey is pasteurized all the enzymes and antioxidants are killed)
Step 1: Cut up the lemons and pack them into your mason jar / container.
Step 2: Grate the ginger and then put it on top of the sliced lemons.
Step 3: Pour the unpasteurized honey into the jar.
Voila! It’s ready for the fridge!
This took me less then 10 minutes to make.
When you want (or need) some, all you do is spoon out one tablespoon of the mixture into warm water. It’s best not to use boiling hot water as you want to preserve all the goodness.
